On a farm in Kansas there was a girl named Dorothy who had a dog named Toto. One day, while playing with her dog in the garden, a tornado appeared suddenly and Dorothy and Toto could not escape it. The tornado carried them to a place they had never seen before, a place where some very strange characters lived. Dorothy asked a fairy to help them get back home, and she answered that she would have to see the Wizard of Oz, and to do that she should follow the yellow brick road.
Her new friends accompanied her until, along the way, they met a Scarecrow who wished he had a brain. Dorothy told him to come along so that the Wizard of Oz could give him one.
Continuing on their way, they men a Tin Man who wished he had a heart. Again, Dorothy told him to come with them to see the Wizard of Oz.
Farther along, they met a Cowardly Lion who wished to be brave. Dorothy told him to join them to make his dream come true.
Once they arrived in the land of Oz, they explained to the Wizard what they wanted, and the Wizard of Oz told them he would only grant their desires if they killed the Wicked Witch. Dorothy and her friends agreed and they fell into a deep sleep. When they awoke, they were captured by flying monkeys who brought them to the Wicked Witch.
Dorothy threw a bucket of water at the Wicked Witch’s face, and the witch melted into a puddle. Thanks to them, the kingdom was free from evil, and so the Wizard of Oz gave them what they desired.
On her way back home in a balloon, Toto fell out and Dorothy jumped to save him. As she fell, she heard the fairy say, “there’s no place like home”, and she fell asleep. When she woke up, she realized it had all been just a dream.
