Snow White and the Seven Dwarves
In a faraway land there lived a beautiful princess named Snow White, whose stepmother was a very vain queen and always wanted to be the most beautiful in the kingdom. She had a magic mirror which she would always ask, “who is the fairest one of all?” to which the mirror would reply, “you are, my Queen, the fairest of all women.”
The years passed, and the mirror always said that she was the fairest in the land.
But years later, the Queen again asked the mirror the same question, and it answered, “Snow White is the fairest in the land.”
The Queen was overcome with envy and went to find a huntsman, whom she ordered to take Snow White to the forest and kill her. To prove that he had truly killed her, the Queen told him to bring back Snow White’s heart in a small box.
The huntsman took Snow White into the forest, but when the time came to kill her, he felt distraught and let her run away. He hunted down a wild boar and put its heart in the box to take to the Queen.
Snow White was alone in the forest, crying, when she stumbled upon a nice cottage. She went inside and saw that everything was very small. She climbed the stairs to the bedroom and saw seven tiny beds. She was so exhausted that she decided to rest for a while.
Later on, the owners of the cottage returned home, seven dwarves who worked in the mines. When they found Snow White, she explained her story to them, and they decided to let her live with them.
The Queen again asked her magic mirror who was the fairest one in the kingdom. The mirror again answered that it was Snow White, who was alive and living with the dwarves.
Filled with hate, the Queen disguised herself as an old peddler woman and went to the cottage in the forest. When she found Snow White, she offered her a poison apple. As soon as she bit into it, she fell to the floor, unconscious.
When the dwarves arrived later that day and saw Snow White lying on the floor, they thought she had died. So they put her in a glass coffin so that all the animals could say their goodbyes to her. In that moment, a prince arrived on horseback, and seeing Snow White, fell hopelessly in love. He kissed her and suddenly, Snow White came back to life and the spell was broken.
Snow White married the prince, and they lived happily together for the rest of their days.
